Birth Annoucements: A requirement for new baby
|
Friends of our family had a baby recently. We knew they were pregnant but had lost track of the dates and couldn't remember exactly when the baby was due. But then the birth announcements arrived in the mail, and we were pleased to see the new addition to the family. This is the story with baby announcement cards, they are a great way to communicate in mass to all the people who are interested in the happenings of your family. I think birth announcements are a great thing because of this communication.
The least expensive ways to purchase birth announcements is to use an online store. There are brick-and-mortar printers who still will run a baby announcements for you, but the online stores will generally be cheaper this is because the online retailers don't have the overhead of a storefront to carry. This generally means they can offer you a lower price when you purchase birth announcements on the Internet. Many people don't like the idea of buying a printed product, such as baby announcements, on the Internet because they worry that they will not get the quality they are looking for. This can certainly be a problem with less reputable vendors. But if you go to one of the big birth announcements websites who has a history of producing high quality products on high stock cards, you will have no problems.
Sending birth announcements is a great custom because it lets your friends and family know that the infant has joined your family. Furthermore most baby announcements include a picture right on the card. This is also awesome. If you are anything like our family, baby announcements are put on the refrigerator with a magnet and stay there for a few months to remind us of the new member of our friends family that has arrive from the hospital. I don't know of any card or mass e-mail that sticks around for a few months. This is a unique quality that baby announcements have any reason you should consider doing them and you have your next kid.
