The Life of Coach Brian Katz

The head basketball coach at California State University, Brian katz has also worked as a coach for junior colleges. He was born in 1957 and is a vice president for Morgan Stanley. The Sacramento State Hornets team is in the Big Sky Conference, and the rival team is the University of California. Brian Katz graduated from Sacramento State University where he earned a bachelor's degree in English. He has spent more than 32 years as a basketball coach. He worked as a coach for San Joaquin Delta College before becoming the head coach at California State University. His team went to the conference six times during his tenure at San Joaquin and earned three championships. Brian Katz impressed the hiring board at Sacramento State University due to his ability to recruit great players and hone new talent. Because Brian Katz is from Sacramento, he has a strong connection to the community. Katz is respected in the sports community and is known as a coach who can lead teams to victories. In addition to coaching at San Joaquin, he had also coached at Lassen College. There he had a stellar record, and the team played in several playoff games. Brian Katz was an assistant coach at Santa Clara. He earned a master's degree in counseling psychology from the school. He was also the head coach at California's Antelope Center High School and Casa Roble High School where he launched his career. At California State University, Katz was the replacement for Coach Jerome Jenkins. Not only has Katz helped to lead the basketball team, but he has also been a proponent of education at the university. Many of his players have gone on to graduate from the university during his time there. The majority of the students that he coached when they were sophomores in junior college went on to continue their educational careers at universities.
